Stair Sainty maintains client relationships with both museums and with private collectors. To some extent, there is a connection between the two, as many collectors have strong relationships themselves with local museums, as trustees or lenders. We act as agents for several of these institutions and private collectors in acquiring works at auction, as well as offering advice services on purchasing or selling, and constructing an overall strategy for collection building or decorating. Valuations can be arranged or given for a variety of purposes.

Our relationships with some of our private clients goes back to the foundation of the gallery, something we take immense pride in. Because the gallery sells works of art created over a five-hundred year span and the range of our paintings is far-reaching, our clients encompass a broad range of collecting interests. Some have discovered the gallery on their own, while others have met us at international fine art fairs (such as TEFAF, the Paris Biennale, and the Palm Beach International Fine Art Fair.)
